Job summary

Qualifications

10 years+ experience in commercial property & casualty insurance agency; strong understanding of coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts.
College degree preferred and active P&C license.
Industry designations (ARM, CIC, CPCU) preferred; ability to handle complex tasks with many variables.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to build client relationships.

Responsibilities

Market new prospective client accounts to carrier partners and support commercial lines sales.
Develop submissions to carriers and obtain quotes; respond to underwriter inquiries.
Negotiate terms with carriers on behalf of prospects and finalize marketing and onboarding.
Prepare proposals and presentations; bind coverage and onboard clients.
Maintain agency management systems and stay current with industry trends and regulations.
Develop knowledge of insurance markets and nurture relationships with underwriters and carrier reps.
