Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Commercial Counsel for the Supply Chain team to enable procurement of critical goods and services and to counsel cross-functional partners on complex legal issues in the US and internationally.

You will draft, negotiate, and review purchase orders, service, license, and long-term supply agreements, while identifying risks and implementing compliant processes across the procurement lifecycle.

Qualifications

• JD or foreign equivalent from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of legal experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review a range of commercial contracts including purchase orders, service, license, and long-term supply agreements.
• Identify and mitigate legal risk by implementing processes, trainings, and controls for procurement teams.
• Provide legal analyses of laws, regulations, and industry practices related to procurement.
• Counsel across the procurement lifecycle, including RFPs, RFQs, purchase and license agreements, and dispute resolution.
• Manage SpaceX's form Purchase Order and Standard Terms and Conditions.
• Support improvements of forms, policies, and processes, including using AI to improve efficiency.
• Work cross-functionally with business teams to analyze legal risks and develop trusted advisor relationships.
