Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking an Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent to support managing project workflows, coordinate schedules with field staff and subcontractors, and maintain daily site documentation.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely closeout while assisting in planning and directing building activities to meet budget and timelines. The candidate should have 2–5 years in commercial construction, a high school diploma (degree preferred), and proficiency with MS

Qualifications

High school diploma required; a four-year degree is strongly preferred.
2–5 years of experience in commercial construction, including tenant renovations and work in occupied spaces.
Project lead experience is a plus and familiarity with sector software is expected.
OSHA 30 Certification preferred; ability to read and interpret plans and schedules.

Responsibilities

Work with the project manager to formulate the project schedule and ensure proper methods and sequence of installation.
Maintain HITT quality standards and relationships with subcontractors.
Ensure complete, accurate daily documentation of work orders/tickets and identify problems early.
Organize the site team, arrange temporary facilities/utilities, and expedite long-lead items.
Support safety programs and incident reporting in coordination with field staff.
