Job summary

Budget Atl is seeking a Collections Specialist to support recovery of damages to Budget Rent a Car fleet vehicles. You will review files, determine potential coverage, and develop collection strategies aimed at recovery within 90 days, while coordinating with customers, other parties, and attorneys as needed.

Ideal candidates have collections and claims handling experience, preferably in the rental car industry.

Qualifications

• Collections handling experience preferred.
• Claims handling experience preferred.
• Rental car company experience preferred.
• Collections experience required.
• PC literate in Windows and MS Office.
• Excel proficient.
• Strong organizational skills with detail focus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Heavy phone experience.

Responsibilities

• Review files to determine potential coverage and develop collection strategies for recovery within 90 days.
• Communication with customers, other parties, attorneys, etc.
• Maintain accurate account of collections activity and incoming payments.
• Evaluate files for outside collection or attorney referral.
• Complete monthly reconciliation report using Excel.
• Make suggestions for alternative dispute resolution.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
