Job summary

Propio Language Services in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Collections Specialist to join our Accounts Receivable team. You will be responsible for collecting and applying payments across multiple subsidiaries and maintaining accurate notes in our systems.

You will collaborate across departments to meet collections targets, improve processes, and help ensure timely cash flow while handling inquiries and reconciliations with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, but not required.
• 2+ years of B2B collections experience.
• Understanding of AR processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Proven time management to meet targets.
• Comfort with using technology.

Responsibilities

• Own collections outreach (via email and phone) for a portfolio of customers.
• Collaborate with Collections Manager to suggest and implement process improvements.
• Monitor A/R aging and follow up on past due invoices.
• Ensure payments are received in a timely manner.
• Maintain collections notes in Salesforce/NetSuite and other systems.
• Collaborate with Client Services on escalations and issues.
• Work with third party collections agency for delinquent accounts.
• Assist in resolving invoicing issues to drive cash flow.
