Job summary

BMO Financial Group seeks a collections-focused professional to review and evaluate delinquent accounts and advise customers on payment strategies and products. You will drive sales and service for BMO customers and prospects, supporting loss mitigation and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities include managing communications, building credibility with clients, and using data to inform actions while ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.

Qualifications

• Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of Credit Qualifications and associated credit knowledge and skills according to established standards.
• Knowledge of consumer collections regulations and applicable guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Delivers exceptional customer service that builds trust through expertise, responsive service and support.
• Develops and maintains long-term, profitable relationships and expands share of wallet.
• Contacts the customer to obtain information to manage their application and payment status.
• Handles incoming calls in a professional and efficient manner.
• Escalates complex or unresolved customer situations to managers as required.
