Job summary

KBX Logistics, a Koch company, seeks a Collections Specialist to support customer accounts and cash flow operations. You will partner with customers and internal teams to resolve outstanding balances, improve payment performance, and drive process efficiency.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills in accounts receivable or related finance functions, plus proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This position is based in Wichita, KS with standard corporate benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve outcomes.
• Experience leveraging AI in a professional environment OR experience in process transformation and/or process automation.
• Experience in collections, accounts receivable, credit, billing, customer service, or a related finance function.
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel and business systems to analyze account information.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that customers adhere to established payment terms through account monitoring and action.
• Contact customers by phone, email, and customer portals to secure payment commitments, confirm remittance details, and resolve account discrepancies.
• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and execute timely follow-up on past-due invoices.
• Collaborate with internal partners to identify customer disputes and elevate appropriately to reduce and resolve payment delays.
• Prepare portfolio updates and aging commentary.
• Escalate high-risk accounts, repeat nonpayment, and change in payment behavior to leadership.
