Job summary

Ironclad Environmental Solutions is seeking a Specialty Billing Clerk to manage submission and collections for portal and summary invoices. The role demands strong communication, negotiation skills, and solid knowledge of credit management and corporate finance processes.

You will handle billing within the accounting system, assist with month-end close, and support attorneys and secretaries with timely billing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of at least 2 years in a Billing Clerk role.
• Familiarity with billing software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Ability to prepare invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Experience in handling billing functions and producing billing statements.
• Knowledge of month-end close procedures and processes.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in all tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with legal billing procedures and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong numerical skills and the ability to work with complex billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the processing of billing in the accounting system, including editing of proformas, adjustments to unbilled time and disbursements, and preparation of invoices.
• Ensure completed billing is returned to attorneys/secretaries within the established timeframe.
• Monitor billing received from billing attorneys
• Process special billing as necessary and required.
• Answer inquiries from attorneys and secretaries regarding billing, client accounts, and time entry.
• Assist with month end closing.
• Utilize strong problem-solving skills, particularly utilizing logical thinking and mathematical abilities.
• Maintain a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other billing software to perform duties.
• Participate in other projects as assigned by the manager
