Job summary

Heritage Valley Health System is seeking a Lead of Coding to provide strategic and operational leadership for the health system’s coding program. This role ensures accuracy, integrity, and compliance of clinical data, optimizes reimbursement, and drives improvements in documentation and coding operations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• Certifications: CCA, CCS, RHIT, or CCDS.
• Minimum 5 years experience in coding or health information management.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, MS-DRG/APR-DRG, APC, and coding compliance standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to influence organizational priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Effective communication with physicians, clinical staff, and coding teams.
