Job summary

Heritage Valley Sewickley is seeking a Lead of Coding to provide strategic and operational leadership for the coding program. You will ensure accuracy, integrity and regulatory compliance of clinical data, optimize reimbursement, and drive documentation and coding improvements.

The role involves developing departmental strategies, overseeing workflow and resources, and partnering with physicians and health information teams.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Health Information Management, or related field.
Certified Coding Associate (CCA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or CCDS.
Minimum 5 years of experience in coding or health information management.
Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, MS-DRG/APR-DRG, APC, and coding compliance standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to influence organizational priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
Effective communication skills with physicians, clinical staff, and coding teams.
