Job summary

Heritage Valley Health System seeks a Lead of Coding to provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization's coding program, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance.

The position focuses on optimizing reimbursement and driving documentation/coding improvements. You will develop and implement department strategies, oversee workflow and resources, and collaborate with physicians and health information teams to support performance and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• Certification: CCA, CCS, RHIT, or CCDS.
• Minimum 5 years of coding or health information management experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, MS-DRG/APR-DRG, APC, and coding compliance standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to influence priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Effective communication with physicians and coding teams.
