Job summary

AbbVie in the United States is seeking a Program Manager, CMC Portfolio Management to lead development and maintenance of CMC project plans for PPDST teams, using standardized PM tools and processes. You will coordinate rosters, timelines, and scenario planning with Development Sciences leaders and external partners across R&D/Ops/Commercial.

You will quickly become a strategic leader within the department, guiding cross-functional teams, driving process improvements, and mentoring junior staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field with 12+ years pharma/biotech experience.
• Note: Higher education may compensate for years of experience; years of experience may compensate for education.
• Accreditation in a project management or process improvement discipline highly preferred (e.g. PMP, LEAN Six Sigma).

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced and extensive project management support to multiple complex drug development and on-market projects, including CMC plans in AMP and timeline swimlanes.
• Lead the PPDST Team meetings, set agendas, capture actions, drive accountability and develop planning scenarios with team members.
• Ensure functions have the right tools, reports, and data for accurate resource estimates.
• Support knowledge management and cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
• Apply PM principles to coordinate goals, mentor junior staff, and communicate progress to leadership.
