Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Program Manager, CMC Portfolio Management to lead development and maintenance of CMC plans for PPDST Teams, supporting decision making across R&D. The role involves coordinating with Development Sciences, external partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely program reviews.

You will manage timelines, create swimlanes, build scenarios, and mentor junior staff while applying PM principles to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field; 12+ years in pharma/biotech, or Masters with 10+ years, or Doctorate with 4+ years.
• PM accreditation (PMP, LEAN Six Sigma) preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams and strong program management skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide advanced project management support to complex drug development and on-market projects, including CMC plans.
• Lead PPDST team meetings, set agendas, capture actions, drive accountability and timelines.
• Develop multiple project planning scenarios, monitor risks, and escalate issues with recommendations.
• Ensure functions have tools and data for accurate resource estimates.
• Mentor junior staff; lead small teams; promote best practices and effective communication.
• Apply PM techniques for metrics, guidelines, and process improvements.
