Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure leader to bridge cloud strategy with hands-on execution across complex multi-cloud and hybrid environments. You will optimize large cloud footprints and design operating models beyond migrations.

Ideal candidates have 8–12+ years leading enterprise cloud programs, with strong FedRAMP/IL experience and a background in regulated industries. Travel up to 80% is expected for engagements.

Qualifications

• Enterprise cloud architecture with hybrid patterns across levels
• Workload classification and migration sequencing
• Cloud design for high elasticity and scaling
• Cloud operating model design—platform teams, product teams
• Multi-tenancy design and cloud governance
• Knowledge of cloud cost models, licensing, and pricing strategies
• DevSecOps, IaC, and CI/CD pipeline fluency
• FedRAMP and IL certifications experience
• AI/ML workload placement strategy and cloud-native AI services
• General cloud cost management knowledge

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical advisor on cloud strategy and hybrid infrastructure engagements
• Lead workload rationalization assessments—classifying workloads for rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, or retirement
• Design hybrid/multi-cloud target architectures across environments
• Develop cloud migration roadmaps with decommission gating to retire on-prem workloads
• Advise on cloud vendor strategy, including multi-vendor approaches and contract terms
• Support practice development through internal training and people development
