Job summary

Reed Smith LLP in Houston is seeking a Client Relationship Manager to support strategic client relationships across life sciences and healthcare. You will collaborate with CRLs, Practice/Industry Leaders, and client teams to drive a coordinated, commercially focused approach to engagement.

You will report to the Global Senior Director, Client Focus Programs, combining sound judgment with collaboration skills to support partners and client teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5-8 years' demonstrated experience in business development, account management, marketing, or a position focused on growing business, ideally in a professional services environment.
• Strong client relationship management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work across time zones in virtual teams.
• Proactive, organized, and able to coach others.

Responsibilities

• Manage a select portfolio of life sciences and healthcare clients with CRLs and client teams.
• Lead development and execution of client growth plans.
• Plan and execute strategies to strengthen client relationships across practices and geographies.
• Lead client prep meetings with lawyers and present research points.
• Develop and analyse client relationship reports.
• Lead positioning and panel processes with the Strategic Pursuits Team.
• Drive strategic client team meetings and relationship mapping.
• Monitor progress against client plans and metrics for leadership.
• Synthesize client insights into actionable recommendations for CRLs and client teams.
• Advise on initiatives such as events and thought leadership.
