Job summary

Optum is seeking a Client Executive for Employer - National and Strategic to grow and manage national accounts. You will lead sales cycles, expand OptumHealth offerings, and collaborate across a matrixed organization to drive revenue and client satisfaction.

The role requires extensive experience in health insurance sales, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to travel; remote work within the U.S. is supported with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of sales or account management with national employers.
• 5+ years in health insurance or related industry.
• Experience leading the sales process and RFPs.
• Proven track record of $6M+ total contract value annually.
• Strong negotiation, collaboration and listening skills.
• Knowledge of claims, marketing, and managed care systems.
• Proficient in Office and CRM (Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain assigned client relationships to ensure delivery of OptumHealth solutions.
• Identify and manage incremental growth opportunities with existing clients.
• Lead sales lifecycle activities, including RFPs and renewals.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
• Monitor client satisfaction and key deliverables to sustain loyalty.
• Cultivate relationships with senior executives and channel partners.
• Support renewal planning and profitability targets.
