Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP seeks a Client Delivery Specialist (Labor & Employment Legal Assistant) for its Kansas City, MO office. The role supports attorneys, manages workflow, coordinates conflicts/engagements, and handles billing coordination while maintaining confidentiality.

Training is onsite five days per week, transitioning to at least three days onsite after training. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years supporting leadership, 3+ years legal assist

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
• 5+ years supporting organizational leadership, preferably in professional services.
• 3+ years legal assistance experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Typing speed of 60 wpm; transcription experience preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
• Proactive problem-solving and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Workflow Ownership: manage full lifecycle workflow for assigned attorneys.
• Conflicts, NBI & Engagement Process Leadership: coordinate intake and engagement processes.
• Billing, Collections & Financial Coordination: assist with time entry, billing inquiries, and budgets.
• Client & Cross-Functional Coordination: liaison between attorneys, clients, and departments.
• Email & Administrative Optimization: manage inboxes, drafts, and file organization.
• Document & Matter Management: edit, format, and file legal documents with accuracy.
• Practice Alignment & Institutional Knowledge: share workflows and train team members.
• Technology, AI & Upskilling: identify improvements and participate in trainings.
