Job summary

California State University, San Bernardino seeks an Analyst to provide high-level administrative, confidential, and technical support for Classification & Compensation Services. You will conduct classification reviews for non-MPP and MPP positions, perform compensation market studies, and participate in benchmark surveys and meet-and-confer sessions during salary negotiations.

Responsibilities include applying CBA interpretation, assisting with procurement, supporting Chancellor's Office

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field.
Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative work experience with foundational understanding of public administration principles, practices, and methods.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate advanced knowledge of public and business administration, operational, and fiscal management.
Utilize administrative survey techniques, operations and systems analysis, and statistical and research methods to develop sound conclusions and recommend policies.
Ability to understand problems broadly and develop strategic solutions.
Ability to handle sensitive situations and demonstrate consultative skills with internal and external groups.
Possess advanced time management and analytical skills.
Exhibit strong critical thinking, analytical, research, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive records.
Possess advanced knowledge of state and federal employment and education laws and regulations.
Demonstrate proficiency in operating standard office equipment and software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Zoom, LMS, Adobe, Google Drive).
Ability to use independent judgment to make decisions and interpret policies.
Ability to resolve administrative problems using precedents.
Ability to focus on own work assignments and provide lead direction to support staff.
Ability to apply fundamental concepts and understand budget policies.
Ability to apply extensive expertise to complex programs and administrative specialties, including relevant laws and regulations.
Ability to learn and apply policies and procedures related to the program.
Ability to use research and statistical analysis methods to analyze data and make projections.
Ability to organize and plan work, handle multiple priorities, and make independent decisions.
Ability to compile, write, and present reports related to the program.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the workgroup.
