The City of New York is seeking a City Research Scientist IV to serve as Director, Project Manager, within the Office of Business Process Innovation. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and executing large agency projects that improve service delivery and efficiency.

Responsibilities include leading meetings with executives and vendors, supervising staff, applying standard PM tools, and producing regular status updates to senior leadership. Work location is Manhattan; hours are 9-5.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in physical, biological, environmental science or public health.
• Doctorate degree in an appropriate field with supervision/administration or research experience; or
• Master's degree with three years of responsible full-time research experience.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, coordinate, and execute major agency projects aligned with priorities.
• Lead meetings with project teams, committees, and vendors; develop plans and updates for leadership.
• Supervise staff involved in project implementation and monitoring; allocate resources.
• Develop research and design frameworks; conduct data analysis to inform program development.
• Collaborate to maintain executive reporting and initiative tracking; prepare status updates.
• Support standardized project management tools for tracking, reporting, and communication.
• Represent the Office in meetings with staff, partners, and other agencies to share information.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on cross-agency projects supporting City priorities.

Formação académica

Master's degree in physical, biological, environmental science or public health
