Job summary

Georgia Department of Transportation seeks a Chief Information Officer to lead IT strategy, digital transformation, cybersecurity, data governance, and enterprise applications to advance GDOT’s goals and service to the public.

The role directs governance, budgets, vendor management, risk mitigation, and IT operations, while fostering innovation, collaboration, and talent development across the organization and with external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, IS, business or engineering and 12+ years IT experience.
• 7+ years of executive/ senior management leadership of enterprise tech.
• Experience with large-scale technology transformation and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise technology strategy aligned with GDOT goals.
• Lead digital transformation, cybersecurity, and data management programs.
• Oversee IT operations, governance, and performance metrics.
• Manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships for technology.
