City of New York's Housing Preservation & Development department seeks a Chief of Staff for the Office of Development in NYC. This full-time role reports to the Deputy Commissioner of Development and coordinates policy, budgets, and cross-agency initiatives to advance the Mayor's Housing Plan.

The Chief of Staff will supervise three direct reports, facilitate the budget process with Capital Planning, and ensure alignment of priorities across HPD leadership and partners, including City Hall.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree or higher required; three years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in business promotion related to capital projects, urban planning, economic development, or financial development should be included.
• Five years of satisfactory full-time professional experience with a bachelor’s degree, including two years in managerial or executive capacity, is required.
• A combination of education and experience may be considered; two years of managerial or executive experience is required.

Responsabilidades

• Manage three direct reports including the Executive Assistant for the Deputy Commissioner, the Deputy Chief of Staff and a Policy Analyst.
• Represent the Deputy Commissioner at meetings as needed.
• Facilitate policy and program design to support the Mayor’s Housing Plan.
• Other duties as required to assist operations in Development.
