Job summary

New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) is seeking an Associate Housing Development to advance the ASAP housing initiative. You will lead the Office of Development’s interagency coordination and oversee pipelines, data, and milestones across multiple city and external partners.

The role requires strong leadership, housing development experience, and excellent communication skills to drive timely, affordable housing projects across NYC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of full-time professional experience in housing development, financing, or urban planning.
• Strong knowledge of housing development processes and NYC programs.
• Experience coordinating with city agencies and external partners.
• Ability to manage timelines, budgets, and milestones.

Responsibilities

• Lead division efforts to accelerate affordable housing production.
• Coordinate interagency efforts with the Mayor’s Office and external partners.
• Manage pipeline tracking, data analyses, and reporting for ASAP.
• Coordinate with BLDS teams to monitor pre-development and construction milestones.
• Oversee external communication and collaboration with other divisions.
• Engage in proactive engagement with external partners.
