Job summary

The American College of Cardiology seeks an Assoc. Program Manager for Chapter Affairs & BOG in Washington, DC to support the mission and strategic plan across domestic Chapters and the Board of Governors.

You will advise Chapter Presidents and Governors, oversee Chapter governance, budgets, recruitment, and meetings, coordinating staff to deliver ACC programs with Chapter leaders. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in nonprofit management, strong MS Office and SurveyMonkey

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 7+ years experience in association or nonprofit management
• Strong skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SurveyMonkey
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to complete assigned tasks within established deadlines
• Work effectively in a team environment
• 15% travel required
• Health care association experience, preferred
• Membership database administration experience, such as Salesforce preferred

Responsibilities

• Serving as the primary strategic and operational advisor to Chapter Presidents, Governors, and volunteer leaders.
• Working with Chapter Presidents and Governors on administration, member programming, budgeting, tax preparation, and activities.
• Developing annual priorities, work plans, budgets, and programs aligned with ACC and Chapter goals.
• Providing oversight of governance, financial operations, compliance, contracts, and records.
• Identifying operational challenges and recommending solutions to strengthen Chapter performance.
• Represents ACC National at meetings to strengthen relationships and advance priorities.
• Staff liaison between ACC and Chapter Executives, planning regular and in-person meetings.
• Oversees recruitment, selection, and onboarding for Chapter Executives.
• Leads Chapter Section Grants program, including materials, application, review, and awards.
• Guides member engagement and collaboration with staff across departments.
