Job summary

American College of Cardiology is seeking a Program Manager in Chapters Affairs to support the mission and strategic plan for ACC, its domestic Chapters and the Board of Governors. The role advises Chapter Presidents and Governors, collaborates with executives, and leads program implementation across Chapter activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 7+ years experience in association or nonprofit management.
• Strong MS Office and SurveyMonkey skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 15%.
• Healthcare association experience preferred.
• Membership database administration experience preferred (e.g., Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Serving as the primary strategic and operational advisor to Chapter Presidents, Governors, and volunteer leaders.
• Collaborate with Chapter Presidents and Governors on administration, member programming, budgeting, tax preparation and chapter activities.
• Develop annual priorities, work plans, budgets and programs aligned with ACC and Chapter goals.
• Oversee Chapter governance, financial operations, compliance, contracts and records.
• Identify operational challenges and propose solutions to strengthen Chapter performance.
• Represent ACC National at Board, Chapter and national meetings to strengthen relationships.
• Serve as staff liaison between ACC and Chapter Executives and plan in-person meetings.
• Assist in logistics and on-site management of two in-person BOG meetings and one annual virtual meeting.
• Oversee recruitment and selection for new Chapter Executives including RFPs and interviews.
• Lead the Chapter Section Grants program including information updates, applications, reviews, and awards.
