Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation is seeking a project manager to plan, monitor, and manage internal projects of medium to large size in Charlotte, NC. The role requires advanced PM knowledge and the ability to lead teams, manage scope, cost, and schedule, and communicate with stakeholders.

The successful candidate will influence processes, drive improvements, and ensure delivery on time within budget. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years related experience are expected, with PMP or Lean Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Advanced understanding of project management framework and methodologies.
• Developed skills in developing and implementing processes, standards and operational plans.
• Demonstrated leadership in the implementation of complex projects and issue resolution.
• Ability to communicate with and influence others, conduct negotiations and manage stringent timelines.
• Advanced cost and risk management skills.
• Understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, needs and policies.
• Decision-making under pressure and bringing clarity to ambiguous assignments.
• Time management, delegation and problem-solving expertise.
• Knowledge of finance, planning and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Lead or coordinate planning activities for medium/large projects to align with business strategy.
• Define scope, organize teams, schedule milestones, and determine resource needs.
• Communicate expectations and maintain stakeholder relationships throughout the project.
• Measure performance with KPIs, cost, timing and staffing indicators.
• Report project status and escalate issues as needed.
• Manage risks, changes in scope, schedule and cost.
• Troubleshoot obstacles to on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Create comprehensive project documentation.
