Job summary

Rack Builders Industrial Inc. is seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead finance, accounting and reporting across North America. The role partners with the CEO, executive team and Board to strengthen the financial foundation during a growth phase.

The CFO will oversee GAAP compliance, budget planning, inventory costs, and financial analytics. Regular travel to manufacturing facilities is required as the company expands its two-site footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with CFO or senior finance leadership exposure preferred.
• Deep manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and audit management experience.
• Experience optimizing ERP systems; Dynamics 365 BC preferred.
• Budgets, forecasting, financial analysis and cash flow management expertise.
• Ability to partner with operations and influence non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience presenting to Boards and senior leadership teams.
• Strategic thinker with strong operational execution and accountability.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and finance activities and establish strong financial discipline and GAAP compliance.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial statements and strengthen monthly close and internal controls.
• Manage regulatory compliance, sales/use tax, treasury, tax and audit relationships.
• Lead the first financial statement audit and readiness for ongoing audits.
• Optimize reporting, controls, automation, and integration with Dynamics 365 BC.
• Establish cash flow forecasting and improve working capital visibility.
• Develop KPI frameworks and reporting for revenue, margin and expenses.
• Collaborate with operations to improve efficiency, margins and cost control.
