Job summary

Seres Smith Consulting is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to direct the financial activities of the division and oversee the accounting department, cost accounting, cash management, tax reporting, budgeting/forecasting and audits for three plants.

The CFO will supervise accounting staff, ensure GAAP compliance, and manage external audits while implementing strong financial controls and IT systems.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance required.
• Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
• Minimum of eight years of hands-on experience in financial management in a manufacturing/production environment required.

Responsibilities

• Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
• Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
• Closely monitor working capital and suggest actions to keep it as low as possible.
• Plan, consolidate and maintain company budget and forecasts.
• Oversee weekly cash management and tax document preparation.
• Oversee all financial processes and external audits; interact with auditors.
