Job summary

Lumen seeks a strategic Senior Director of Finance to serve as CFO for the Product & Technology organization. You will guide financial strategy, planning, and investments across software, cloud, and digital platforms, partnering with executives to drive growth, profitability, and shareholder value.

In this high-visibility role, you’ll lead a top-performing finance team, influence capital allocation, and shape long-term strategy in a dynamic tech environment. Strong SaaS experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Finance, FP&A, Corporate Finance, Business Finance, or Product Finance.
• Experience supporting SaaS, software, cloud, digital platform, or technology-driven businesses.
• Demonstrated success leading complex P&Ls and driving performance in large, matrixed orgs.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership on strategic planning, investment decisions, and financial management.
• Deep understanding of SaaS models, subscription/ consumption economics, product lifecycles, and software investments.
• Proven ability to build, lead and develop high-performing finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate business priorities into actionable financial strategies.
• Oversee revenue, gross margin, OpEx, headcount planning, capex, EBITDA, and FCF.
• Lead annual and long-range planning, forecasting, scenario analysis.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Technology, Sales, Marketing, Strategy to align plans.
• Provide exec-level insights on portfolio prioritization and profitability.
• Establish and govern SaaS and digital metrics like Recurring Revenue and Product Profitability.
• Evaluate investments, product initiatives, M&A, and large-scale digital programs.
• Lead a world-class Product Finance organization for strategic decision support.
