Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Senior Director of Finance to serve as CFO for the Product & Technology organization. This executive will guide financial strategy across digital, software, platform, cloud, and AI investments, shaping decisions to accelerate growth and profitability.

You will partner with senior leaders, drive long-range planning, manage capital allocation, and lead a high-performing finance team to deliver strategic insights and measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Finance, FP&A, Corporate Finance, Business Finance, or Product Finance.
• Experience supporting SaaS, software, cloud, digital platform, or technology-driven businesses.
• Proven success leading complex P&Ls and driving business performance in large, matrixed organizations.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership on strategic planning, investment decisions, and financial performance management.
• Deep understanding of SaaS business models, subscription/consumption economics, and product development lifecycles.
• Proven ability to build, lead and develop high-performing finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the strategic finance leader and key business partner to Product & Technology leadership, translating priorities into financial strategies.
• Lead financial management across a complex portfolio including revenue, gross margin, OPEX, headcount, investments, EBITDA, and free cash flow.
• Drive annual and long-range planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support growth and decisions.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Technology, Sales, Marketing, and Strategy leaders to align financial plans with business goals.
• Provide executive-level insights on portfolio prioritization, profitability, and operational performance.
• Establish and govern SaaS and digital metrics such as ARR, retention, customer economics, and product profitability.
• Evaluate strategic investments, acquisitions, and technology programs for disciplined capital allocation.
• Lead and develop a world-class Product Finance organization focused on decision support.
