Job summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be Bancroft’s strategic financial partner to the Acting CEO, senior leadership, and the Board, shaping financial strategy and long‑term sustainability. With $286 million in revenue, the CFO leads a finance organization of about 70 staff and oversees debt, investments, and capital planning to support growth.

The CFO will oversee financial reporting and risk management, ensure strong internal controls, and guide capital initiatives including a new on‑campus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Senior finance executive experience in an organization with annual revenue ≥ $100M.
• Experience leading finance functions including FP&A, budgeting, audit, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Shaping Bancroft’s financial strategy, capitalization, and capital planning.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Build and maintain banking relationships and funding strategies.
• Oversee debt financing for capital projects and future needs.
• Provide oversight of investment management and pension/retirement plan.
• Ensure robust treasury, liquidity management, and internal controls.
• Lead financial reporting to the CEO, Board, and Finance Committee.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and growth opportunities.
