Job summary

Urrly, Inc. seeks an experienced CFO to join as the founding in-house finance leader. You will own FP&A, cash management, KPIs, and decision support, reporting to the CEO with collaboration across leadership and sponsor. The role is full-time, remote, with potential for a future controller as needs evolve.

You will oversee outsourced accounting, build a lean finance function, and drive data-driven decisions using AI and automation, while ensuring strong internal controls and scalable reporting.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive finance leadership in a CFO function or relevant professional-services environment.
• Substantial FP&A, cash forecasting, and financial modeling experience, with ownership of operating decisions and forecasts.
• Finance experience in a SaaS or subscription software/data business, with retention, renewal, and recurring-revenue metrics.
• Experience building or improving finance processes, reporting, controls, or systems in a lean environment.
• Strong accounting and controllership fundamentals, including billing, revenue recognition, financial controls, risk/compliance.
• Hands-on adoption or experimentation with AI and automation; able to describe what you built, tested, and improved.
• Experience communicating financial analysis clearly in writing and presentations to the executive team.

Responsibilities

• Own financial modeling, forecasting, and annual budgeting processes.
• Partner with CEO/President and leadership to size and track the value creation plan.
• Translate financial analysis into actionable recommendations on growth, pricing, packaging, and resource allocation.
• Define and track KPIs driving value creation (GRR, NRR, renewals, customer revenue trends).
• Establish rolling 13-week cash forecast; manage burn, liquidity, and spending as growth occurs.
• Improve monthly processes; establish best practices for controllership and financial management.
• Oversee outsourced accounting; ensure accrual-based reporting and build finance team over time.
• Review billing and revenue recognition, implement controls and best practices.
• Build weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting; co-create board reporting pack in 60–90 days.
• Develop operating KPI dashboard; ensure data integrity and metric definitions.
• Evaluate financing system migrations to strengthen reporting and scalability.
• Support payroll/spend system implementations (Rippling, Ramp) and AI-driven workflows.
• Assist with private equity investor relations and potential M&A analysis when relevant.
