Foodbuy is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to execute category strategy, analyze market trends, and lead supplier relationships. This role drives profitability through rigorous negotiation, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven insights. The position emphasizes budgeting, contract management, and end-to-end process ownership.

The role requires 4+ years in supply chain or related fields, with strong Excel and presentation skills, located in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in supply chain, category, finance, or ESG related field.
• Strong negotiations experience.
• Presentation Experience.
• Ability to extract insights from complex data sets using advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to influence through direct and indirect teams.
• Knowledge / Experience of budgets and forecasting.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
• Up to 5% Travel Annually.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive category strategy for assigned categories, delivering strong financial results.
• Prepare analyses, communicate sourcing trends, and present results.
• Responsible for system catalog clean‑up audits to ensure mapping accuracy.
• Research current state and future needs, analyze market trends and identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in vendor management - performance against contract and resolutions of constraints.
• Manage data integrity and term sets for pricing and volume allowances to distributors.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, update contracts, and share end-user feedback.
• Oversee internal processes including budgeting, contract attributes, benchmarking, pricing, and product recommendations.
