Checkr, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to lead end-to-end procurement for designated categories, including sourcing, contract negotiations, and vendor management. You will develop strategies to drive cost savings and partner with stakeholders to align procurement with company goals.

This role requires strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills with a proven ability to influence strategy and lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of procurement and strategic sourcing-related work experience.
• Proven ability to influence strategy and drive decisions.
• Strong communication, thinking, and presentation skills.
• Solid analytical, judgment, and negotiation abilities.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Bias for action and ownership to deliver outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for assigned categories including sourcing, contract negotiation and vendor relationship management.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that drive cost savings and cost avoidance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with organizational goals and act as liaison to vendors.
• Lead complex contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and align with strategic objectives.
• Facilitate RFX processes to ensure transparent and competitive vendor selection.
• Stay informed on industry trends, especially AI, to identify new vendor opportunities and drive innovation.
• Create and present reports with actionable insights for stakeholders.
