Job summary

Foodbuy is seeking a Category Manager to lead category strategies for hotel and management groups, driving purchasing income and negotiating with suppliers. You will align customer needs with programs, manage cross-functional teams, and optimize term sets to ensure accurate pricing and volume allowances.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, data analysis ability, and experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Travel up to 5% is anticipated in this senior procurement function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 4+ years in supply chain, category, finance, or ESG related field.
• Strong negotiations experience.
• Ability to extract insights from complex data sets using advanced Excel skills.
• Up to 5% travel annually.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive category strategy or category member strategy for assigned categories delivering strong financial results.
• Prepare analyses, communicate sourcing trends, and present results.
• Responsible for system catalog clean-up audits to ensure mapping accuracy.
• Research current state and future needs, analysis of market trends and potential suppliers.
• Participate in vendor management - performance against contract and resolutions of constraints.
• Manage data integrity, category data needs, liaison with cross-functional groups to ensure accurate pricing and volume allowances.
