Job summary

Foodbuy, the leading procurement and supply chain solutions provider and a Compass Group USA subsidiary, seeks a Category Development Manager for Hotels in Charlotte, NC. You will own and drive category strategies, deliver purchasing income, and align customer needs with program opportunities while building supplier relationships.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, at least four years in supply chain or related fields, strong negotiation and data-analysis skills, and the ability to manage

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in supply chain, category, finance, or ESG related field.
• Strong negotiations experience
• Presentation Experience
• Ability to extract insights from complex data sets using advanced excel skills.
• Ability to influence through direct and indirect teams.
• Knowledge / Experience of budgets and forecasting
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
• Up to 5% Travel Annually

Responsibilities

• Own and drive category strategy or category member strategy for assigned categories delivering strong financial results, improvement opportunities and recommendations.
• Prepare analyses, communicate sourcing trends, and present results.
• Responsible for system catalog clean-up audits to ensure mapping accuracy.
• Research current state and future needs, analysis of market trends and potential suppliers, and identification of continuous improvement opportunities.
• Participate in vendor management - performance against contract and resolutions of constraints.
• Responsible for system data integrity, category data needs, liaison with cross-functional groups to ensure manage term sets so that pricing and volume allowances released to distributors is accurate.
• Manage business relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers including ownership and enhancements to agreements, communication of demand/volume changes, updating contracts and sharing end-user feedback.
• Ownership of required internal processes including budgeting, contract attributes, benchmarking, pricing, product recommendations, etc.
