The role is based in Lisle, IL and features a hybrid work arrangement with regular collaboration across teams. The successful candidate will find dedicated capacity, build route guides and strengthen carrier partnerships while maintaining compliance and driving efficiencies across departments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least 2 years in Logistics and procurement.
• Experience drafting and negotiating logistics service contracts (transportation, freight forwarding, warehousing, distribution, import/export etc.)
• Knowledge of procurement and purchasing procedures.
• Strong communication, analytical and project management skills.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations/law desired.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
• Proficiency in composing written communication, proofreading and editing.
• Well-organized, dependable and detail-oriented.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for travel.

Responsibilities

• Find dedicated capacity for key lanes.
• Build route guides for customer lanes.
• Strengthen carrier partnerships and expand the Qualified Carrier network.
• Qualify new carriers for DeSpir’s network.
• Streamline carrier qualification and onboarding processes.
• Ensure TSA compliance for qualified carriers.
• Maintain driver training compliance with risk team.
• Support qualification levels and internal initiatives for carrier opportunities.
• Collaborate with departments to build out the network.
