Job summary

Evans Transportation Services LLC in Minnesota seeks a Strategic Procurement Representative to source and develop carrier partnerships, manage pricing, and drive negotiation on RFPs and ongoing business. You will report to the Director of Yield Management and help execute carrier routing decisions while building strong internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

• Source new carrier partners.
• Leverage tools, technology, and established relationships to bring in new business.
• Support Pricing team with rates for RFPs, spot quotes, and special requests.
• Make carrier routing decisions.
• Negotiate contracts with a focus on leverage and value.
• Perform cold calls as needed.
• Collaborate with Carrier Procurement to strengthen relationships.
• Contract and develop a routing guide for carrier networks around customers.
• Handle and escalate carrier-facing issues.
• Improve processes and efficiencies in carrier selection to enhance customer experience.
• Engage daily to ensure account success and build partnerships with internal leaders.
• Identify and solve problems, think critically to determine best actions, implement solutions.
• Understand the technology platform and push for automation.
• Study market trends and seasonality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
