Uber Freight in Chicago is seeking a Strategic Carrier Procurement Representative to optimize Buy-to-Market spread through negotiation, contracts, and carrier partnerships.
You will drive cost savings, protect margins, and enable our sales team by providing capacity guarantees and lane pricing while partnering with product teams.
A bachelor's degree and 3–5+ years in carrier management or related roles help you leverage TMS tools and freight market knowledge to win new business.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in carrier management/procurement or related role.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of full truckload pricing, lane dynamics, and US freight market trends.
Responsibilities
- Drive cost savings by lowering BtM costs through negotiation and contracts.
- Build and maintain high-quality carrier relationships to secure capacity.
- Support sales during bidding and RFP processes with capacity guarantees and lane pricing.
- Source, vet, and onboard carriers across dry van, reefer, flatbed, and other modes.
- Gather carrier feedback on digital tools and share insights with product/engineering.
- Collaborate with product managers to test and launch carrier-facing features.
