Job summary

NFI is seeking a Carrier Procurement Manager in the Camden, NJ area. You will lead domestic multi-modal RFPs, manage mini-bid processes, and set scoring and cost targets to optimize carrier selection and SLAs.

You will coordinate data-driven bid processes and negotiate with carriers and 3PL partners to drive value. The role requires strong analytical, financial, and strategic thinking skills, with experience in transportation operations and proficiency in RFP/RFX platforms.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree preferred.
• 7+ years’ experience in transportation operations.
• Proficient with RFP/RFX procurement platforms, Google Suite and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate domestic multi-modal annual RFPs across national and regional networks.
• Execute rapid mini-bids to resolve routing guide failures and seasonal shifts.
• Establish sourcing timelines, bid rules, baseline target rates, and scoring weights.
• Extract, scrub, and normalize historical shipment data and lane profiles.
• Build standardized bid packages including RFP templates and lane matrices.
• Audit data to ensure bid participation and minimize post‑award revisions.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and 3PL partners to optimize base freight and accessorials.
