Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing, or related field.
• 2–5 years’ industry experience with proven results.
• True self-starter with high energy and professional demeanor.
• Demonstrated experience implementing/managing medium-to-large scale projects.
• Capability to maintain strict confidentiality of information related to carrier rates and profitability scales.
• Computer applications experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to discreetly and tactfully recognize and handle sensitive and confidential information a must.
• Flexibility to work various schedules as dictated by business/operational need.
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to prioritize and manage a variety of tasks and meet deadlines.
• Confidence interacting with individuals at all levels within the organization.
• Proficiency to work with mathematical concepts and infer data from instructions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, recruit, implement, maintain and improve strong relationships with contracted carriers.
• Continually seek diverse carrier relationships to ensure capacity matches demands.
• Identify and monitor data to develop new carrier relationships and capacity.
• Provide input to contracted carriers regarding performance.
• Organize information from support departments to strengthen carrier relationships.
• Collaborate with customers on operational support in specified location(s).
• Create standard operating procedures for specific customers to optimize shipments.
• Direct onboarding support for new and potential carriers/service providers.
• Evaluate KPIs and metrics to assess carrier relationships.
• Coach and lead improvement projects for a market or department.
• Use routing software to create efficiencies with contracted carriers.
• Partner with sales teams to develop additional business opportunities.
