Job summary

Environmental Resources Management, Inc. (ERM) is seeking a Managing Consultant for Capital Project Delivery to guide permitting strategies and environmental assessments for large-scale energy and tech projects in the Western Region.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with clients to ensure compliance and timely delivery. You will drive project management, budgeting, and technical writing to produce concise reports and effective stakeholder communications, while expanding

Qualifications

• 8+ years of equivalent experience in environmental planning or related field.
• 4+ years of project management and permitting in energy/tech sectors across California or Arizona.
• Proven expertise in federal, state, and local permitting and planning (NEPA/CEQA).
• Strong technical writing and communication for reports and stakeholder presentations.
• Ability to manage project budgets and invoices, multiple priorities, and mentor junior team members.
• Ability to manage multi-disciplinary technical teams.
• Driver's license required for travel across a large geographic area.
• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex permitting and compliance for energy and technology sector projects, including NEPA and CEQA.
• Oversee preparation of permitting documents, environmental reviews and deliverables.
• Provide technical and project management expertise on permitting strategies, due diligence, and quality control.
• Prepare proposals and contribute to business development to expand ERM's energy and tech practice.
• Collaborate with ERM's global technical teams to share best practices and deliver high-quality solutions.
