Job summary

ERM is driving the transition to a low‑carbon economy by guiding environmental impact assessments and permitting for large energy and tech projects in the Western Region. As Managing Consultant, Capital Project Delivery, you will shape permitting strategies and mentor multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver compliant, high‑impact projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental studies, planning, geography, or related field—or 8+ years equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of project management and permitting experience in energy, tech, or similar sectors across California or Arizona.
• Proven expertise in federal, state, and local permitting and planning, including NEPA and CEQA compliance.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills for preparing concise, accurate reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Ability to manage project budgets and invoices, multiple priorities, mentor junior team members, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multi-disciplinary technical teams.
