Job summary

SkyWater Technology, Inc. is seeking a Capacity Planning Engineer in Austin, TX. You will lead capacity modeling across production toolsets, build analytics and decision-support tools, and drive factory improvements with cross-functional teams.

You will mentor entry-level engineers, partner with Operations to define metrics, and present insights to leadership to guide strategy and policy. The role emphasizes data automation and long-range factory planning.

Qualifications

• BS in Industrial Engineering or related degree.
• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise with capacity modeling techniques and planning tools.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong data mining & analytics using ETL tools (SQL, APF, Google BigQuery, Oracle).
• Excellent communication translating findings for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own capacity modeling for all production toolsets and develop long-term roadmaps.
• Develop and deploy advanced analytics and decision-support tools to improve factory performance.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve OEE, Cycle Time, throughput, and bottleneck tool performance.
• Define factory metrics with Operations leadership and prioritize high-impact improvements.
• Present data-driven insights and recommendations to factory leadership.
• Mentor entry-level engineers and develop scalable business processes for IE and Planning teams.
