Job summary

U.S. Fleet Forces Command in Norfolk seeks a COMMANDER'S ACTION GROUP ASSISTANT to coordinate staff actions, prepare briefs, and manage inquiries for the Commander.

You will engage with directorate staff and external contacts to enable leadership by producing administrative and operational communications across departments. Responsibilities include reviewing reports for clear options, initiating staff studies to improve workflows, and developing recommendations to resolve bottlenecks.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating and interacting with staff and external points of contact to prepare briefs and address inquiries.
• Experience coordinating, scheduling, and conducting staff meetings.
• Experience organizing finished written material and supporting audiovisual presentations.
• Experience drafting responses for the Command's signature via the CAG lead.
• Experience initiating and conducting staff studies to improve efficiencies and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff actions and information requests for the Commander.
• Prepare administrative and operational communication products; address inquiries; coordinate across departments.
• Review reports, projects, and correspondence submitted to the Commander for clear options or recommendations.
• Initiate, plan, and conduct staff studies to improve administrative efficiency.
• Develop recommendations to resolve bottlenecks and improve support to the Commander.
• Prepare finished written materials and audiovisual presentations with general guidance.
• Represent the CAG in staff meetings and working groups to facilitate communications.
