Job summary

American Cable & Harness | Electronic Technologies International in Fort Atkinson, WI is seeking a Buyer/Planner to manage purchasing and production scheduling. The role ensures on-time delivery by coordinating with Production, Engineering, Customer Service, Quality, and Warehouse teams.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 2+ years in purchasing or planning, with strong MRP/ERP and MS Office skills. Experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years in purchasing, scheduling, quoting, inventory control, or manufacturing operations.
• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, inventory management, and production scheduling.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems; general web browser proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Interpret MRP reports to determine purchasing needs and obtain supplier quotes.
• Create, review, and issue purchase orders; track lead times and delivery schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply chain issues; support cost reduction initiatives.
• Create and adjust production schedules based on demand, inventory, and capacity.
• Coordinate scheduling with Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Service, Quality, and Warehouse teams.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
