Job summary

American Cable & Harness | Electronic Technologies International is seeking a Buyer/Planner to manage procurement and production scheduling. The role will interpret MRP, obtain quotes, create and manage purchase orders, and adjust production plans to meet customer demand.

You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Customer Service, Quality, and Warehouse to ensure on-time delivery and continuous improvement in supplier performance and inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain or related field.
• 2+ years purchasing, scheduling, or inventory control in manufacturing.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and production planning.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret MRP reports to determine purchasing needs.
• Obtain supplier quotes for raw materials and MRO items.
• Create and issue purchase orders with accurate pricing and lead times.
• Expedite orders and monitor supplier performance.
• Develop and adjust production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Coordinate scheduling with Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Service, Quality, and Warehouse.
• Generate scheduling and production reports for leadership.
