Job summary

Camfil USA in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a Sr. Buyer/Planner to join the Manufacturing Materials Team. You will manage material requirements to support dynamic production, minimize raw material inventories, reduce purchasing costs, and maximize customer service.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• In-depth experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, planning and purchasing.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints.
• Travel up to 10%.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with internal and external customers, including suppliers, manufacturing, engineering, customer service, sales and QA.
• Works closely with production in implementing production schedules.
• Analyzes and coordinates material requirements from schedules, engineering, validation and studies.
• Uses sound judgment to influence production and purchasing decisions.
• Reviews weekly material, components and finished goods requirements to meet schedules.
• Produces material planning and inventory reports.
• Provides management with data by collecting and summarizing trends.
• Manages inventory by maintaining optimum quantity and cost levels.
• Raises order fulfillment issues to management and customers to mitigate issues.
• Analyzes forecasts, actual demand, schedules and inventory; makes recommendations.
• Generates and releases purchase requisitions through approved suppliers.
