Job summary

ABB Inc. in Jonesboro, AR is hiring a Buyer/Planner to plan and create production schedules for specific work centers based on demand and stock replenishment.

You will review materials, issue work orders and purchase orders to meet schedules, onsite at ABB Jonesboro. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing, 3+ years in materials planning, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or applicable technical field required or practical experience in a manufacturing lead role.
• 3+ years' experience in a materials acquisition/planning role
• Ability to manage a dynamic workload with multi-tasking and critical projects
• Strong project management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of work orders, inventory control and flow manufacturing processes
• Authorized to work in the US

Responsibilities

• Review and distribute production work packages and shipment schedules and obtain information on materials and priorities
• Lead the Service section of the daily Gemba walk and coordinate with supervisors on progress and dates
• Compile reports on inventory levels, costs, and issues with production and purchased parts
• Coordinate material needs with Production and outside supplier personnel to meet schedules
• Communicate with facility personnel and customers to coordinate processing and shipping requirements
