Job summary

CIRCOR International, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Buyer/Planner to manage procurement for technically engineered components supporting new product development and manufacturing lines. You will lead RFQs, negotiations, and PO placement while ensuring KPI attainment and adherence to corporate standards.

The role involves MRP planning, supplier capability assessments, and collaboration with a global team to achieve Total Cost of Ownership, quality, and on-time delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Strong negotiation, price analysis, and make/buy analysis.
• Experience with domestic and international sourcing and supplier development.
• Proficient with MRP in an ERP environment (IFS preferred).
• Ability to extract ERP data and analyze it for management decisions.
• Extensive knowledge of lean inventory management concepts.
• Experience buying metals, motors, pumps, and rotors is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform RFQs, negotiations and cost accountability.
• Create and review purchase orders; resolve late/partial shipments and invoicing issues.
• Manage MRP parameters to ensure adequate supply and avoid stockouts.
• Review exception reports and expedite as needed; resolve discrepancies.
• Attend production/project meetings to provide updates and actions.
• Maintain accuracy of supplier/item master data (UOM, lead times, pricing).
• Collaborate with Commodity Managers to identify cost savings and ensure TCO, quality and delivery.
• Develop suppliers and monitor KPIs for on-time delivery and service levels.
• Generate and maintain departmental reports; support continuous improvement.
