Filtration Group is seeking a Sr. Buyer for its Fairburn, GA manufacturing plant. The role is a key member of the Operations team, serving as the main purchaser of direct material and reporting to the site’s S&OE Leader.

The candidate will apply advanced MRP knowledge to manage requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring steady raw material supply while collaborating with operations to meet growth and financial goals. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of MRP to place requisitions, manage POs and ensure material flow.
• Experience reviewing demand signals, supplier lead times, and minimum order quantities.
• Proven ability to align service levels and inventory plans with business goals.
• Procurement certifications (APICS, CSCP, CPSM) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage MRP-driven procurement and requisition activities to maintain material supply.
• Place and track purchase orders, ensuring on-time material delivery.
• Coordinate with operations and commercial teams to support growth and financial targets.
• Support inventory optimization and procurement strategies to improve cash flow.
• Identify and communicate risks in the supply base, including shortages or delays.
• Assist with MRO purchases when needed.

This Sr. Buyer position works out of our Fairburn GA manufacturing plant. This position is a key member of the Operations team, serves as the main purchaser of direct material and reports to the site’s S&OE Leader.

Responsibilities

• Advanced understanding of material requirements planning (MRP). Use knowledge for placing purchase requisitions, managing purchase orders, and ensuring a steady supply of raw material.
• Reviews demand signals and purchases raw material in a timely manner; reviews supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, and on time performance.
• Work with operations and commercial managers to ensure service levels and inventory plans are consistent with business growth and financial goals.
• Support inventory optimization efforts and procurement strategies to ensure best inclass cash conversion cycle attainment.
• Identify and analyze supply chain risks and opportunities; proactively communicate any material availability issues: ex. shortages and delays
• Assist with MRO purchases when needed.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of supply chain and purchasing experience
• Procurement Certifications – APICS, Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is a plus.
• Professional, assertive, positive and team oriented
